Windy week 25-30 September. Session 3...

Again wind didn't fill in properly until early afternoon. Stopped off at work first to pick up my written exam results (all passed - thank f*ck for that), and then at Hove. Bolt onshore, pancake flat and no-one else there so on to Shoreham again.

Arrived 2.30pm. Didn't seem all that windy but a few were out planing on small sails and I knew it was due to pick up later so rigged the 5.2 instead of the 5.9. Wind had indeed started to build as it would do all afternoon...

Perfectly canvassed on the Bee to start with. Very nice powered up sailing for the first half an hour, just like yesterday. Then squall number one passed over. Ran for cover and joined all the regulars under the cover of a beach hut. Back out again....ah sod it, it gets too complicated to explain properly, wind was really up and down for the rest of the afternoon, several sail changes, one absolutely mad bit mahussively overpowered on my 4.5, ended up rigging my previously un-used 4.0 but then the wind dropped back to 5.0 weather (so 4.0 still un-used), couldn't be arsed any more after that so at 6pm packed up, then as I was leaving wind was filling in again to 4.5 or less weather....bollox. (now blowing a gale and pissing it down outside as I type, Weds 11pm).

Frustrating session. But a good first half hour on the Bee, a good shot of adrenaline when maxed on the 4.5, the usual good crowd at Shoreham, another day sailing not working, exams passed...all in all another good day :)
